Somedays you just wake up not quite ready to start the day. It might be going to bed in a bad mood, or blame yourself over an extra shot you took last night, or it just could be something internal like the hormone imbalances. Whatever that causes your bad mood, it shouldn’t be an excuse for you to starting off a bad day, unless you wish for it.
I truly believe you can win the day by winning the morning in most cases 10 to 20 minutes after you woke up. Tony Robbins always says if you don’t have ten minutes for your life, you don’t have a life at all.
1. Don’t negotiate with your mind, just do it
First off when you want to make changes especially those changes that your mind aren’t happy with, your mind will come up with all sort of excuses to prevent you from doing that. So do not let your mind to talk you out of it. The good news is will power is far more mighty than your mind. It’ll take you in if you persist.
2. Don’t wake up hit the ground, take your time
Committing for a change is a mindset. Even if you have to set your alarm up for 10 minutes earlier than what your usual schedule is. Try to push away any kind of excuses that your logical mind binds you to
You can’t be grateful and have negative feelings at the same time. They just don’t go together. Tim Ferriss does morning journaling, Tim O’Reilly goes for a run and take a picture of one flower and admires it. Do your homework you’ll come up with your own gratitude list. usually, pure blessings are the best to go for like the sun. Everyone agrees that having it is far better than not having it.
4. Practice some kind of mindfulness
There are 100 ways of meditation forms and practices that you could Strat right away and feel better almost immediately after. Be creative you don’t have to follow the rules 100 percent. Visualization and the type of life you’d see yourself in is also very helpful. Research and stick with a type that’s working best for you. Combine methods of practices together, be playful. For instance, I love to practice listening to the AC hum till my mind go completely blank, then I practice visualization at the end of my meditation.
You can also use apps like headspace or calm and they offer free trials.
5. Ask questions
However, you are asking the questions your life will turn around the answers. This is the law that could change your life for better or worse. The only problem is we often ask disempowering questions. So we get the answers for them too, but surely they aren’t the answers we’re looking for. You can start by believing that every thin’s working out for you, and since you are not at the end of the road, you don’t know how it will turn out. Look for shreds of evidence in your life that life has to lead you into the pleasant path, and make suggestions to believe in the outcome. A belief is only the thought you continue to think of. So keep asking like how this situation will land you on the wanted outcome? What is the best thing can happen to you today? or What to do or who to call to make your day the way you love?
Lastly be present you don’t have to be anywhere in your life in order to feel better, and even if you do, you won’t get there by being grumpy. Life isn’t a checklist you have to enjoy it along the way.
